Conceived as a thread of connected spaces of varying scale and character, each is designed to heighten the relationship with the river while providing a range of experiences from contemplation,dialogue,recreation,participation
imagery and meaning through a sense of arrival,departure and belonging
Through its 6 km frontage-this strip of land, the promenade, negotiates between the two edges of, Smart City Kochi development and the twisting turning river, in a unique pattern language of its own.
This riverfront promenade is conceptualised as a series of 5 unique Character Zones, rich in place making, in response to its interface with the adjacent land use in the master plan.
